In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, firefighters were dispatched to an apartment after neighbors’ noticed smoke coming from inside the home. Once inside, emergency responders thought they had located the source of the fire on the stove, but soon found what they thought was a pile of smoldering clothes in the bathtub. Tragically, they would soon realize it was actually the burnt body of a four-year-old autistic boy, and the disgusting situation would only go from bad to worse when neighbors exposed the boy’s chilling last words.
The Milwaukee Fire Department was dispatched to a home after a report of “smoke” was made. After they forced their way into the apartment, they discovered that smoke was coming from the stove, as well as what they initially thought was just a pile of clothing in the bathtub. However, after taking a closer look, they realized that it was a lifeless child who had been set on fire with his hands tied behind his back and belts and a garbage bag over his head. Beside the bathtub, a pet guinea pig was also found drowned in a cage.
An officer would later spot Amelia walking down the street and stop her to question her about her son’s death. Inside her purse, investigators found a handwritten note with a woman’s name and telephone number. However, when the police called the number, they weren’t prepared for what the married couple on the other end of the line would reveal.
They explained that they had seen Amelia crying and stopped to ask her what was wrong. They said that she asked them whether they knew a pastor because she needed to talk to somebody because “she did something really bad.” The Christian couple had given them the wife’s name and their phone number in case she needed someone to talk to.
Along with their chilling testimony, Amelia’s phone also had several search results that had an eerily similarity to her son’s death.
The complaint indicates a search of Amelia Di Stasio’s phone revealed searches for “how do canabals (sic) die” and “how to kill a canabal (sic)” from September 28th. The cell phone search also revealed a message board dedicated to an online game billed as a “horror survival game” in which players fight cannibals. The message board “detailed the ways to kill cannibals within the game,” and recommended the first way was to “kill it with fire.” Additionally, it discussed how in the game, cannibals “like to bathe in oil.” [Source: Fox 6 Now]
Amelia is now facing a charge of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of her only child. Although it seems inadequate considering what this child endured in his final moments, she could be facing life in prison if she’s convicted.
There’s nothing more sickening than hearing that a mother, the one-person God chose to nurture and protect a child, has done the exact opposite and killed them. This mother not only ignored her child’s chilling cries, but she trapped her terrified child in the bathtub and lit him on fire. That takes a special kind of monster.
Children are a blessing from God and deserve to be treated that way. She may think she will get her punishment by spending her life in prison, but that will be nothing compared to the wrath God could give her. Then, she’ll have a good idea of how it feels to burn as she meets the fate her son did — but hers will be for eternity.
